Paul, referring to those “men of corrupt minds” who are “disapproved concerning the faith,” of the previous verse, now says, “but they will progress no further.” He uses the same word as was used in 2 Timothy 2:16.Read the rest

Jannes and Jambres are the names of two of the “wise men and sorcerers” mentioned in Exodus 7:11 & 22. Though their names are not recorded in Scripture before this, the oral traditions of Israel kept them alive.Read the rest
